139-Bed Assisted Living Community | AMA-LTC | Leadership Opportunity
Pettis County Assisted Living, a 139-bed assisted living community in Sedalia, Missouri, is seeking an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) or Residential Care Administrator (RCAL) to provide leadership and operational oversight for the community.
Pettis County Assisted Living is part of AMA-LTC, a rapidly growing leader in the long-term care industry. AMA-LTC continues to expand its footprint throughout Missouri and across the country while developing leaders who will help shape the organization's next chapter of service excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong senior living leader who enjoys building teams, developing leaders, improving resident outcomes, and creating a culture centered on quality care, accountability, dignity, and service excellence.
Position Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for the 139-bed assisted living community.
  • Partner closely with clinical leadership to achieve excellent resident care, regulatory, and operational outcomes.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a strong leadership and frontline team.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and resident-centered care.
  • Develop leaders who are capable of managing independently and effectively.
  • Lead the community through change while maintaining stability and strong communication.
  • Ensure compliance with Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services regulations and applicable assisted living requirements.
  • Maintain survey readiness and proactively address regulatory concerns.
  • Oversee staffing, employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Support census development, marketing efforts, referral relationships, and occupancy growth.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, hospitals, and community partners.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and promote resident satisfaction.
  • Ensure appropriate care for residents with dementia, behavioral health needs, psychiatric diagnoses, and complex medical conditions.
  • Serve as a visible, hands-on leader within the community.
Qualifications
  • Current Missouri LNHA or RCAL/appropriate Missouri assisted living administrator qualification.
  • Previous leadership experience in assisted living, residential care, skilled nursing, or senior living.
  • Strong knowledge of Missouri long-term care and assisted living regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
  • Experience working with residents with behavioral health, psychiatric, dementia, or complex care needs strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with clinical leadership.
  • Strong commitment to resident dignity, quality care, and service excellence.
