Job description

Position Summary

Join a mission-driven Community Health Center bringing quality dental care directly to underserved communities through a mobile dental clinic. Two General Dentists are needed to serve Chowan, Pasquotank, Gates, and Perquimans Counties from Elizabeth City and Gatesville, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations and interpret portable digital X-rays.
  • Diagnose and treat oral disease and dental injuries.
  • Perform restorative procedures, simple extractions, fluoride treatments, sealants and preventive care.
  • Develop treatment plans and administer local anesthesia.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition and prevention.
  • Maintain HIPAA and Medicaid compliant electronic records.
  • Collaborate with support staff and manage an average of 15 patients per day.
  • Until a hygienist is hired, perform cleanings when clinically necessary.
  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
  • Active North Carolina Dental License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Experience treating pediatric and adult patients.
  • Community health or mobile clinic experience preferred.

Compensation
  • W-2 Employee (No Locum Tenens).
  • $2,375 per pay period without optional Saturday.
  • $3,125 per pay period with optional rotating Saturday.
