Expedite Healthcare Solutions is seeking a local contract nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 12 hours, nights

Minimum 2 + years of high acuity PCU level or higher required! ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!
Special Procedures/Unit Details:
Comprehensive Cancer Center, 318 acute care beds. All inpatient units/ 36 beds. Units are specialized by cancer diagnosis.
Floating to MedSurg and PCU Oncology units including:

โ€ข Acute Leukemia
โ€ข Hematology
โ€ข Medical Oncology
โ€ข PCU Oncology
โ€ข Gynecological Oncology
โ€ข Urology
โ€ข Colorectal
โ€ข Surgical Oncology
โ€ข Corrections Healthcare
-Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
Certifications required:

โ€ข BLS
โ€ข NIHSS
If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the departmentโ€™s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
Staffing ratios - PCU is 1:3, can be 1:4 w/ mixed acuity, M/S Tele ideally 1:4 but can be 1:5
Weekends - variable based on unit needs
No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Five shifts of bedside orientation b/t weeks 2 and 3, then independent
