Job description

Our mission-driven financial services client located outside of Albany, NY is seeking a Director of Technology Strategy & Enablement to lead enterprise technology strategy, modernization, and operational alignment. This senior, hands-on role ensures technology platforms, architecture, and vendors support business goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the enterprise technology roadmap and modernization initiatives
  • Define and oversee enterprise architecture across cloud platforms, applications, integrations, and data
  • Partner with IT and cybersecurity leadership to manage technology and cyber risk
  • Oversee vendor strategy, system resilience, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to senior IT management
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments
  • Develop reporting and data frameworks to support executive decision-making
  • Communicate technology strategy and risk posture to executive leadership and the Board

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in technology leadership or enterprise IT roles
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure), identity management, and enterprise architecture
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and risk management
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills

Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly around $140,000.
