A Permanent CTPAT position refers to a full-time role focused on ensuring a company's compliance with the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program. CTPAT is a voluntary supply chain security initiative led by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that aims to improve border security and facilitate legitimate trade. Employees in this role are responsible for maintaining security protocols, conducting audits, and liaising with CBP to ensure ongoing compliance. This position is crucial for companies involved in importing and exporting goods, as CTPAT membership can lead to faster customs processing and reduced inspections.

A Permanent CTPAT Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring that a company adheres to the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) security guidelines. This involves conducting regular risk assessments, maintaining compliance documentation, and implementing security procedures across supply chains.
