Job description

The Business Analyst – Travel supports the Travel Department of this Fortune 500 company by improving processes, managing travel technologies, and delivering accurate, actionable reporting. Under general supervision, this role analyzes travel, expense, and corporate card data; manages travel related systems; and leads special projects that enhance cost containment, operational efficiency, and traveler experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject & Program Support
  • Plan and manage project execution, schedules, and deliverables; adjust timelines as needed and communicate changes to stakeholders.
  • Ensure project compliance with company and department quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate project activities with end users to minimize operational disruption.
  • Collaborate with consultants and contractors involved in travel-related projects.
Travel Technology & Systems Administration
  • Administer global online booking tools, travel portals, and third party travel technologies.
  • Serve as primary contact for system updates, enhancements, testing, troubleshooting, and traveler support.
  • Maintain data integrity across travel systems, integrations, and user profiles.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, automations, KPI scorecards, and recurring reports for leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Validate, audit, and reconcile travel program data from multiple sources.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize databases, data models, and reporting structures.
  • Prepare communications and distribute recurring travel reports to senior and mid level managers.
  • Analyze travel, expense, and corporate card data to identify trends, compliance risks, and cost saving opportunities.
Operational & Stakeholder Support
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate needs into easy to interpret analytics solutions.
  • Provide global support for booking tools, travel technology platforms, and traveler inquiries.
  • Support regional travel security, compliance, and duty of care reporting.
  • Lead special projects involving data analysis, business process improvement, automation, and reporting enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation
  • College degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field desirable.
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a role aligned with the required education.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in travel related or business analysis roles.
  • Experience managing projects, implementing technology solutions, and improving processes.
  • Working knowledge of SAP navigation and reporting a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in project management, including planning, scheduling, reporting, and execution.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and MS Power Platform applications.
  • Practical experience in business/strategic planning and financial modeling.
