How does a Perinatal Nurse typically collaborate with other healthcare professionals during patient care?

Perinatal Nurses work closely with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care for pregnant patients and newborns. They play a key role in communicating patient needs, monitoring maternal and fetal health, and coordinating interventions during labor and delivery. Effective teamwork and clear communication are essential, as Perinatal Nurses often update the care team about changes in patient status and assist with emergency procedures. This collaborative approach helps ensure the best possible outcomes for both mother and baby.
