Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Supplier Performance Lead at NGMS-Salt Lake City, UT to support our Business Unit - Propulsion System & Controls, located in NGDS Elkton, MD.

The Supplier Performance Lead at NGMS - Salt Lake City will be the Material Program Manager for all PS&C programs with Interdivisional Work Orders (IWO) with the Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Salt Lake City site. The person working in partnership with the IPT's at PS&C, is expected to be hands-on and assist the team at Salt Lake City in reviewing the IWO requirements and statements of work, review the line of balance, managing supplier and sub-tier suppliers schedule, identification and resolution of supply and manufacturing risks, process review and rigor, review and analyze weekly and monthly performance data, and create corrective action resolution where applicable.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead focal point for NGMS-SLC for PS&C programs responsible to monitor performance in the areas of quality, on time delivery, and corrective actions. Ensure recovery plans are established and executed aggressively.
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) for PS&C programs for the NGSM-SLC IWO accounts, which includes review earned value data inputs and reports and analyze performance deviations.
  • Request, dispatch, and oversee cross functional resources as required, this may include supply quality, engineering, procurement, and other program resources.
  • Utilize LEAN techniques to identify potential process improvements to improve lead-times and reduce costs.
  • Evaluate and advocate for supplier and company initiated changes and coordinates appropriate testing and validation as required.
  • Proactively identify schedule and technical risks including sub-tier suppliers, manufacturing, technical and supply risks, and coordinate risk management activities to reduce or eliminate.
  • Develop supplier specific metrics to track and monitor health at given suppliers.
  • Assist project team and supplier in request for quotes, contractual notifications, negotiations, and coordinate supplier responses.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering and/or technical discipline and a minimum of 10 years' experience (or 8 years with a Masters) in defense or aerospace systems and/or management in development or production projects.
Demonstrated success in leading projects and/or processes to achieve projects cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors.
Ability to travel domestically

U.S citizen and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance.

Demonstrated experience in Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in supply chain management on a major program.
Master's Degree in a Business or Technical field.
Demonstrated experience in interfacing seamlessly with functional teams, customers, and major subcontract parts in an IPT structure.

Experience using SAP is preferred.

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
