Job description

Job Summary:
Deloitte is a leading firm focused on technology and innovation. The Sr Network Engineer will provide technical services in computer hardware and software, administer and monitor application servers, and collaborate with senior engineers to implement technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical services in the areas of computer hardware and software.
• Administers, configures, monitors and tests application servers for business and network operations.
• Provides suggestions and recommendations for new technology solutions.
• Work with senior level engineers to implement applications and technology solutions.
• Monitor daily data and application server backups, upgrades, and patches.
• Responds to and resolves any critical issues impacting production and other system environments.
• May serve internal or external clients.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant field and/or additional relevant IT related experience
• 8+ years of experience supporting IT Infrastructure Network environments and/or 6 years with advanced degree
• Design and implement network infrastructure: Plan, configure, and deploy Cisco networking equipment (switches, routers, wireless access points)
• Structured cabling oversight: Collaborate with contractors and low-voltage vendors to ensure proper installation of network cabling, including patch panels and IDFs/MDF setup
• Network performance testing & validation: Ability to conduct site surveys and end-to-end testing to validate throughput, redundancy, and failover capabilities across all floors and workspaces
• Documentation, including but not limited to network diagrams and rack elevation drawings: Create and maintain accurate network diagrams, IP address allocations, and equipment inventory
• 2+ years and proficiency with Troubleshooting skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
• Collaboration with other IT teams: Work closely with systems, security, facilities and other operations teams to ensure seamless integration of their technology needs with existing infrastructure components
• General understanding of Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches
• General understanding of Cisco Catalyst switches (9300, 9200CX, etc.)
• Eager to learn
• Team oriented
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Familiar with the following: Cisco Webex Calling, CUCM and UCCX, VMWare ESXi, Dell Storage systems, Brocade FC switches, SANNAV, Infor HMS and Sales & Catering platforms, Guestroom technology (InfoValue/Crave/JamF MDM solution)
