Location: This is a hybrid role based in our Austin, TX office with an expectation of 3 days onsite per week.

Position Summary:

As part of the development team at TrendAI, this Performance Testing Engineer role will focus on performance testing and test automation for intrusion protection devices specifically with tools like Ixia and Breakingpoint on on-prem and virtual devices on AWS and Azure. The role will require to collaborate for getting the certification for the performance like NetSecOpen.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead role in providing guidance on effective strategy to achieve performance Testing on on-prem and cloud environment.

  • Support and mentor junior level engineers to produce effective test strategy and automated test strategy.

  • Participate in scrum teams and provides estimation of effort and acceptance criteria.

  • Participate in implementing automated test cases using Python.

  • Lead role in implementing effective best practices to be followed by the R&D organization.

  • Easily understand the big picture of the solutions provided by the entire R&D organization.

  • Work with cross-functional teams (Architects, Developers, QA) and design effective Automated Test Strategy for functional, system, performance, and longevity test

Qualifications:

  • Working experience with tools like Ixia and BreakingPoint for performance testing.

  • Knowledge of Networking concepts (L2, L3, L4 protocols).

  • Professional experience with Python, Java or similar language

  • An understanding of automation design patterns and software testing principles and methodologies.

  • Experience in Continuous Integration environments ideally using GHA.

  • Experience working with a team using Agile and scrum.

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and other cloud platforms

  • Working experience on configuration of AWS VPCs, Transit gateways and NAT

  • 5+ year's industry experience.

  • BS CS/CE or related field or equivalent industry experience
