As a Marketing Specialistat Byrne Dairy & Deli, you will play a key role in driving sales performance, brand growth, and product availability across our retail network. This position partners closely with the Category Managers, Marketing Team, and Warehouse Operations to align purchasing decisions with promotional strategy, consumer demand trends, and revenue objectives.
You will leverage data analytics, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the right products are in stock at the right time to support campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and evolving customer preferences. Your ability to interpret sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and proactively adjust inventory strategies will directly impact customer experience and overall profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demand Planning & Sales Optimization
  • Partner with Category Managers and Marketing to align inventory purchasing with promotional calendars, seasonal campaigns, and product launches.
  • Analyze sales data, consumer trends, and market insights to forecast demand and identify growth opportunities.
  • Support product assortment decisions that enhance brand positioning and drive incremental sales.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new or trending items that align with customer preferences and competitive positioning.

2. Strategic Procurement & Vendor Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Turn Buyer and vendors to ensure purchasing strategies support sales goals and margin objectives.
  • Track supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery aligned with advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to support joint marketing initiatives, product launches, and special buys.

3. Inventory Analytics & Performance Reporting
  • Monitor inventory levels in relation to sales performance, ensuring optimal in-stock rates while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Analyze trends, promotional effectiveness, and product performance to inform future buying and marketing decisions.
  • Develop reports that provide insight into inventory turnover, product profitability, and campaign performance.
  • Present data-driven recommendations to Purchasing, Marketing, and Warehouse leadership to enhance revenue growth.

4. Cross-Functional Marketing Support
  • Coordinate with Marketing to ensure featured products are adequately stocked ahead of campaigns.
  • Support new store openings, seasonal resets, and planogram adjustments from a sales-driven perspective.
  • Identify underperforming categories and recommend strategies to increase visibility and customer engagement.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (data analysis, forecasting, reporting).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable sales and marketing insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in purchasing, category management, marketing analytics, or retail operations preferred.
