Job description

Summary

RecVue has immediate opportunities for an extremely talented performance engineer. The key objective of this performance engineering role is to measure, monitor, report, and optimize the performance of their database cloud services

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct performance benchmarks of new releases and builds of our hardware and software to profile its performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Assist customers to resolve their performance problems
  • Proactively monitor and resolve performance events in our cloud environment.
  • Develop tools for performance measurement and analysis
  • Capture performance data, analyze and synthesize the results, and suggest optimizations for improving performance.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/documentation.
  • Collaborate with product development teams and provide feedback to improve the performance and the price/performance of our service

Skills and Background:

  • 7+ years of PL/SQL Development
  • 5+ years of data modeling
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant Pluggable Databases
  • Experience with tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (13c), ASH, and AWR for performance analysis and tuning.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle Database
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle SQL/PLSQL tuning
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to investigate errors and performance bottlenecks
  • Solid understanding of Explain/Execution Plans
  • Good Knowledge of DBMS scheduler

This position can be located in Toronto, Canada, or the US within the eastern time zone. This position can be fully remote for the right candidate.
