Position Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and directing the engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of advanced solar manufacturing processes and production systems. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise in engineering, excellent project management skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate will oversee cross-functional projects, optimize production processes, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical professionals focused on the design and optimization of solar manufacturing processes.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages creative problem-solving and innovation.
  • e.g., PLC-controlled machinery, robotics, advanced assembly lines).
  • Review and approve design plans, process modifications, and engineering specifications to meet established quality and efficiency standards.
  • Drive innovation by assessing emerging technologies and integrating best practices in renewable energy manufacturing.

Budget & Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, capital expenditure plans, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within cost targets.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyze failure data, and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability and overall plant performance.

Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable industry standards, local regulations, and company safety protocols (including OSHA guidelines).
  • Lead safety audits and implement best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in solar or renewable energy sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing multidisciplinary engineering teams in a dynamic production setting.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of automated manufacturing systems, robotics, and process control technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and experience with data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen, FMEA, etc.).
