Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Director, People Partner to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for acting as the People function lead to accomplish organizational and department priorities for the Bedford, OH site, providing consultative leadership on business challenges and associated people and organizational implications. Specifically, this role will work closely with site leadership to lead People Function planning, change management, organizational consulting and design, inclusion and engagement initiatives, and championing Hikma's values and culture while utilizing business process principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality
  • Mentors, leads, coaches, and develops employees
  • Manages and addresses performance issues
  • In consultation with the business and the Director, People Partner, makes hiring, firing, and compensation decisions to ensure successful individual and organizational performance currently and in the future
  • Communicates site and department goals and expectations to staff, in line with Hikma's values, culture, and mission
  • Sets goals and expectations for site personnel, taking into account their input as well as individual and team goals
  • Ensures conditions (time, equipment, etc.) necessary for staff performance are met and barriers to performance are removed
  • Measures personnel performance and contribution to team performance
  • Communicates site and department performance to staff
  • Provides feedback on core job/MAG performance
  • Collaborates with site team to identify and enable skill/knowledge development
  • Rewards and recognizes staff and team performance to build engagement
  • Ensures positions are filled timely with the best qualified candidate(s)
  • Partners with business leaders to drive strategic People initiatives that support business goals
  • Executes a site-specific talent management process, incorporating workforce planning and strategic people capital, succession, and development planning within client group
  • Drive business leaders to focus on increasing top talent and differentiate development of employees
  • Functions as an internal consultant to site leaders in achieving business goals
  • Advises and guides management on organizational effectiveness, especially the alignment of processes, systems, and people
  • Leads change by partnering with business leaders on planning, implementing, and communicating necessary changes and involving employees
  • Drives performance consulting, including ensuring that expectations align with business strategy, aligning and differentiating ratings and compensation across the client group
  • Provides leadership for talent acquisition for the Bedford, OH site
  • Manages other People-related needs and roles as required
  • Liaise with People Function management and team to support employee development and learning strategies and partnering as well as ensuring appropriate compensation metrics continue to be applied for the Bedford, OH site
  • Act as the Bedford, OH site's lead representatives before state and local authorities, supporting talent growth and development programs and initiatives

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR Management or similar discipline; Master's degree strongly preferred. SPHR a plus.
  • Minimum: 8+ years' experience in People function roles in a dynamic operational and/or manufacturing environment, with demonstrated growth in responsibilities over time
  • Experience within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing organization is preferred
  • Experience working with a mixed exempt and non-exempt technical and operational workforce population is also preferred
  • Demonstrated change leadership, internal consulting, organization and talent assessment and development skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Committed to continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate and build relationships at all levels, and to link business objectives with People Function activities
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal direction with the confidence to independently make impartial and objective decisions to support site growth and needs
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • The candidate must be capable of building strong, lasting and effective business relationships, and cultivating and maintaining the position of trusted advisor to stakeholders within Hikma.
