ROLE SUMMARY: The Electrical Journeyman is responsible for the layout and installation of electrical systems and related equipment. Work must be completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with design specifications, building codes, and company standards. This role ensures quality workmanship, provides guidance to assigned trainees or apprentices, and contributes to efficient and safe completion of assigned projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Interpret plans, specifications, and work instructions to complete assigned installations or assemblies.
  • Installs electrical equipment (panels, lighting, generators etc..), conduit, wiring and assemblies.
  • Perform skilled tasks related to fabrication, layout, installation, repair, or maintenance of piping systems and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with general contractors and other trades.
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
  • Provide instruction, training, and guidance to trainees or apprentices to promote safe work practices and skill development.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in an organized, safe, and serviceable condition.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years commercial electrical experience on Healthcare project.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documents.
Strong understanding of Electrical systems and applicable codes
Proficient in trade math.
Proficient in the safe and proper use of hand and power tools.
Strong understanding of job site safety standards and commitment to following all company safety policies.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
Understand multiple types of conduit and wiring systems.
Knowledge lighting and lighting controls.
Knowledge of switchgear, panel, transformer, ATS and generator installation.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
OSHA 10.

Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.
