Job description

Facility Setup Person - Part-time

Job Summary: The Facility Setup Coordinator is responsible for the setup and care of facilities for events, meetings, and daily operations. This role involves coordinating with various departments, ensuring equipment and facilities are ready for use, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate the setup of facilities for events, meetings, and other activities.
  • Arrange furniture, equipment, and technology according to the event specifications.
  • Ensure all setups are completed on time and meet the required standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Clean all areas of the facility as needed. Assist cleaning vendor as needed.
  • Coordinate with facility staff or external contractors for repairs and upgrades.
  • Maintain an inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure all setups comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols during event setups and facility usage.
  • Address any safety hazards promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide support and guidance to users of the facility.
  • Ensure a positive experience for all facility users by maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
  • Other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in facility management, event coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • The role involves both office work and physical activity, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Requires working in different environments, both indoor and outdoor.
  • Potential exposure to noise and varying weather conditions depending on event locations.

Pay starts at $20/hr.
