'Per diem' means 'per day,' so these workers are paid for each day or shift they work, without a fixed schedule or guaranteed hours. Seasonal per diem roles are common in industries like retail, hospitality, healthcare, and agriculture, where demand fluctuates during certain times of the year. These jobs offer flexibility for workers but may not provide benefits or long-term job security. They are ideal for those looking for short-term work or supplemental income.
