Job description

Join a community-focused critical access hospital as an Emergency Department Physician in Newport, Vermont. This full-time role provides high quality, timely, and compassionate care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions in a rural emergency department setting with collaborative medical staff support.

Position Highlights

  • Full-time Emergency Department Physician
  • Rotating shifts
  • Approximately 12 shifts per month
  • Shift schedule: 7a"7p, 10a"9p, and 7p"7a
  • 25-bed critical access hospital
  • Approximately 16,000 patient visits annually
  • Physicians only coverage model
  • Cerner Community Works EMR
  • BE/BC Emergency Medicine or significant ER experience considered
  • Vermont medical license required
  • BLS, ACLS, ATLS required or board certification in Emergency Medicine
