Job description

Position: Per Diem Emergency Medicine Physician

PPE is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Medicine Physician to provide per diem coverage at New Bridge Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative emergency medicine team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced
clinical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
  • Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Order, interpret, and act upon laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
  • Perform emergency procedures, including airway management, intubation, laceration repair, fracture reduction, central venous access, and resuscitation, as clinically indicated.
  • Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and coordinate specialty consultations and hospital admissions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, EMS, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based clinical standards.
  • Provide flexible coverage for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted New Jersey medical license 
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications 
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
