Per Diem Pediatric Hospitalists Opportunities Available in SouthEast Ohio

Pediatrix Medical group is seeking board-certified Pediatricians to join our team at OhioHealth Obleness Hospital in Athens, OH on a per diem basis to provide coverage of the Newborn Nursery.

  • Newborn nursery care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists - No Pediatric floor coverage
  • 24 hour shift of rounding plus offsite call
  • Pediatric Hospitalists will perform circs
  • Pediatric Consultations: Provide expert pediatric consultations to the emergency department, offering timely assessments, recommendations, and treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with a team of pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): The ability to participate in CQI initiatives and clinical research projects, contributing to the enhancement of patient care outcomes and best practices.
  • Knowledge Exchange: Take advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers, including over 400 NICUs and several thousand providers.

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics required
  • Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience required
  • Active OH License or IMLC license preferred
  • Recent clinical experience required (within the last 12 months)

Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.

We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.
