These roles are commonly found in industries like healthcare, construction, and hospitality, and provide flexibility for both employers and employees. Per diem workers may be called in to cover staff shortages, special projects, or peak busy periods, and their schedules can vary widely depending on the employer's needs. To thrive as a Per Diem Laborer, you typically need a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to perform a variety of manual tasks, with a high school diploma often sufficient for entry. Familiarity with basic hand tools, safety protocols, and sometimes OSHA certification are common requirements.
