Job description

Construction Worker


Candidates must successfully complete a background check to gain access to a federal base where this work will be performed.


Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer experienced in civil demolition, small equipment operation, fence installation, and general construction knowledge to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment.


Full time position with benefits. Work hours are 7:30 am to 4 pm daily. 


Responsibilities

  • While on base, follow military directions and regulations without exception.
    - Assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites, including moving materials and equipment.
    - Perform general labor tasks such as civil demolition, fence installation, digging, lifting, and carrying heavy loads.
    - Operate hand tools, small construction equipment and power tools safely and effectively.
    - Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
    - Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met.
    - Comply with all safety regulations and protocols to minimize risks on the job site.


Requirements prior to being hired

  • Be able to get a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credential for access to the base.
    • After we decide to sponsor you on base, we will make an appointment for you to:
      • Fill out required forms at the base Visitor Control Center.
      • You must present two authorized forms of ID, one of which must be a REAL ID Act-compliant driver's license or state ID (e.g., Passport, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card)
      • Undergo fingerprinting and photographing at the base Visitor Control Center.
      • Pass a criminal history and national database background check
      • Have a valid driver's license verifiable through the Department of Motor Vehicles.
      • Have a reliable vehicle with valid insurance and registration for base access.


Experience

- 3-5 years' construction experience in various trades.
- Familiarity with construction small equipment, and tools.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques in the construction industry.
