As a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, the People Operations Manager oversees benefits administration, learning and development initiatives, talent and leadership development, employee relations, performance management, and key people operations initiatives that help foster a positive, high-performing culture where individuals and teams can thrive.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who not only has the skills to excel in People Operations (HR) but also the heart to make an impact. You’ll bring a mix of expertise, project management know-how, and a passion for people.


Benefits

  • Administer Osborn's benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, wellness, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs).
  • In partnership with the Director of People Operations, evaluate and enhance benefits offerings to support employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention.
  • Manage employee leave of absence and accommodation requests.
  • Oversee workplace safety and OSHA compliance, including training, reporting, and incident documentation.


Learning & Development

  • In partnership with Operations, develop Osborn's learning and development programs that support employees’ personal growth and development.
  • Assess organizational learning needs and implement development initiatives that build critical skills
  • Maintain and update the Learning Portal with training resources as needed.
  • Support career pathing, succession planning, and internal growth opportunities.
  • Oversee tuition reimbursement, certification tracking and professional development resources.


Performance Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on workplace concerns, employee relations matters, and conflict resolution.
  • Facilitate disciplinary actions, investigations, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) with professionalism and care.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness through coaching, development programs, and tools that enhance communication, accountability, and team performance.
  • In partnerships with the Director of People Operations and HR, manage the annual performance review process ensuring it supports employee growth and development.

People Operations

  • Manage systems for records retention, data privacy, and HRIS (BambooHR) administration.
  • Manage employee offboarding, including terminations, documentation, and exit interviews.
  • Track and analyze HR metrics and trends to support strategic planning and leadership reporting.
  • Serve as a mentor to People Operations team members, offering support and guidance.
  • Lead engagement and culture initiatives that strengthen connection, appreciation, and belonging across the organization.

About You

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including strong experience in at least two of the following: Employee Relations, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Learning and Development, or another HR Field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Commitment to continued professional development and staying informed on HR trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through execution with strong follow-through.
  • Experience supporting senior-level hiring and partnering with leadership on talent planning.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (BambooHR preferred) and comfort working with HR data and analytics.
  • Professional services or AEC industry experience is a plus.

Location

This position is based at our headquarters in Bellevue, WA. While Bellevue is the preferred work location, we are open to considering candidates based in Seattle, WA. This is a hybrid role that requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.

The expected compensation range for this position for employees based in the Bellevue/Seattle area is $91,000 - $140,000 annually and is dependent upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
