PUBG Studios Seattle is a small, skilled team with a wide range of game dev experience, coming together with a strong focus on quality and cross discipline collaboration.

The person we're looking for:  

PUBG Studios Seattle office is seeking a skilled individual to act as the HR & Operations Manager. The HR & Operations Manager will be the primary day-to-day HR and operations partner for the Seattle studio. This role will help reset and strengthen the company culture by modeling expected standards of behavior, reinforcing accountability, serving as a trusted employee touchpoint, and ensuring concerns are appropriately documented and escalated.

The role will own local HR execution across employee support, onboarding, benefits, performance management, compliance, employee relations, payroll coordination, and workplace operations. It will partner with Seattle leadership and Valor HR & Operations on policy, compliance, employee relations, investigations, payroll, and sensitive personnel matters. This role will report to the PUBGMG Director of Operations and works onsite full-time from the Bellevue studio.  

Responsibilities:Culture, Conduct, and Employee Support
  • Help establish a respectful, professional, accountable, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Model expected standards of behavior and reinforce those standards with employees, managers, and leaders.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for workplace questions, concerns, and employee-support needs.
  • Receive, document, and appropriately escalate concerns involving conduct, policy violations, workplace conflict, or management practices.
  • Identify patterns and risks before they become larger employee-relations or culture issues.
  • Partner with Valor HR & Operations on investigations, corrective action, and other sensitive matters.
  • Support communications, manager guidance, and employee programs that reinforce the desired workplace culture.
  • Maintain confidentiality and help ensure concerns are handled consistently and without retaliation.
HR Operations
  • Own day-to-day HR processes and employee support for the Seattle office.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure required actions are completed on time.
  • Manage onboarding, transfers, changes, and termination tasks in Workday.
  • Own the local onboarding experience, including documentation, training, introductions, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate offboarding, including required documentation, access changes, communications, and exit feedback.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and employee follow-up.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for international employees supported through Deel.
  • Escalate payroll, legal, tax, policy, and other high-risk matters through Valor HR & Operations and the appropriate partners.
Performance Management and Accountability
  • Own the local performance-management process and calendar.
  • Guide site leads and managers through goal setting, feedback, documentation, development planning, and corrective action.
  • Coach managers on addressing performance, conduct, and accountability issues promptly and consistently.
  • Track required activities and escalate missed actions or unresolved concerns.
  • Help ensure managers model and reinforce expected standards of behavior.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Coordinate required compliance activities, training, acknowledgments, and recordkeeping.
  • Monitor HR process completion and identify documentation or execution gaps.
  • Support audits, reporting, and information requests.
  • Partner with Valor HR & Operations on compliance interpretation and higher-risk issues.
  • Escalate potential legal, regulatory, safety, policy, or conduct concerns promptly.
Workplace Operations
  • Support day-to-day employee-facing operations for the Seattle office.
  • Coordinate with IT, facilities, vendors, and other partners to resolve workplace needs.
  • Help maintain a professional, functional, and welcoming office environment.
  • Track operational issues and ensure follow-through.
Qualifications: 
  • 3-5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, employee relations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting employees and managers in a multi-site or international organization.
  • Working knowledge of onboarding, benefits, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and HR systems.
  • Experience handling sensitive workplace concerns and confidential information.
  • Strong judgment and ability to identify when an issue requires escalation.
  • Ability to coach managers through difficult people and accountability processes.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Clear, practical, and professional communication style.
  • Ability to work independently and partner effectively across functions.
  • Experience with Workday, Deel, or similar systems preferred.
  • Experience in technology, gaming, entertainment, or another fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite from the Bellevue studio Monday-Friday.

In Washington, the expected salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000. The listed expected salary range represents a good faith estimate and the actual pay may depend on a variety of job-related factors that can include experience, education, skills, and location.
