Sales/Reservations Agent Job Description

Title: Sales/Reservation Agent 
Reports To: Sales Manager
Pay Range: $16-$22

General Responsibilities:
This role is one of the front lines of communication between future guests and Whitefish Outfitters. Excellent communication skills, the ability to close sales (book guests), and to understand our reservation systems (Peek Pro) are crucial skills to the success of this position. This position is also key in gathering, organizing and disseminating information regarding guests’ dietary needs, transportation information, and any special or customized requests.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Respond within 30 minutes during work hours to all guest inquiries via third party websites, phone calls and voicemails, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Clear understanding and ability to explain our tours and attributes of our tour catalogue and rentals.
  • Ability to qualify customers needs and make recommendations potentially upselling and/or introducing additional tours that may be of interest.
  • Knowledge of POS/Point of Sales Systems, understanding of Peek Pro is a benefit.
  • Ability to organize guest billing and tour information, process payments accurately.
  • General recreational knowledge of Whitefish, Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley. Reservationist is often seen as a trusted recreation consultant to our area.
  • Ability to think on your feet, retail or sales experience is helpful.
  • Handle guest cancellations, guest billing issues, guest refund requests, guest discount requests, processing rebooking credits, etc. with the support of Operations Manager.
