Registered Nurse - Pediatric Surgery

What You'll Do:
As a Pediatric Surgery RN, you will provide expert nursing care to pediatric surgical patients in a fast-paced, supportive environment. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure patient safety and comfort, and uphold the highest standards of pediatric care. This role offers rewarding challenges and the chance to work with a talented team dedicated to optimizing patient outcomes.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of OR experience, specifically in pediatric surgical settings
  • Current BLS and PALS certification
  • Proficiency with EPIC RTO system documentation
  • Ability to scrub in a variety of surgical procedures (neuro, ortho, ENT, general, eyes)
  • Strong clinical skills in pediatric perioperative care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to pass drug screening and nicotine testing
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with office surgery procedures
  • Prior experience in neuro, ortho, ENT, or ophthalmic surgeries
  • Familiarity with travel nursing logistics
  • Ability to adapt to variable shifts and work nights
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Valid RN license in the state of practice
  • Prior pediatric surgical nursing experience preferred
  • Experience with EPIC EMR systems highly desirable
Other Requirements:
  • Flu vaccination for the upcoming flu season (no exemptions accepted)
  • Up-to-date resume documenting pediatric OR experience
  • Submission of two recent OR supervisor/manager references
  • Able to work variable shifts including 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and weekdays
  • Must be nicotine-free and willing to undergo drug screening
  • Must have required certifications and documentation ready at submission
