Dental Assistant

The Pediatric Dental Assistant supports high-quality dental care delivery for children by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in full compliance with Colorado dental standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Assists the doctor in pediatric dental procedures, including child behavior management techniques to ensure a positive patient experience
  • Takes x-rays
  • Takes IO's
  • Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
  • Instructs patients on oral hygiene
  • Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
  • Sterilizes instruments
  • Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
  • Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Education and/or Experience: Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Required Certificates or Licenses:

  • Colorado X-Ray certification
  • Current BLS certification

Salary: $18 - $22 per hour
