Job description

What we're doing isn't easy, but nothing worth doing ever is.

As a Network Engineer, you will be the architect and guardian of our Enterprise Network Infrastructure. You will design, implement, and manage high-availability systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance for our users and products. This role is a blend of high-level design, hands-on implementation, and proactive maintenance within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Architecture: Own the network environment by designing system configurations, defining technical standards, and implementing resilient solutions to future-proof our infrastructure.
  • Performance & Reliability: Maximize uptime through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting outages, and scheduling strategic upgrades.
  • Security & Compliance: Support and administer firewall environments (specifically Palo Alto) in alignment with IT security policies; establish and enforce access control and system policies.
  • Operations & Support: Act as the senior escalation point for our 24/7/365 operations center. Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end-users.
  • Deployment: Configure routing, switching, hosted IP voice services, and firewalls. Lead on-site network assessments at hospital facilities to support new product rollouts.
  • Mentorship: Serve as a technical lead, mentoring junior staff and documenting implementations to ensure team-wide alignment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of proven success managing complex Enterprise Network Environments.
  • Firewall Expertise: In-depth experience with Palo Alto firewalls (configuration, management, and security policy).
  • Wireless Mastery: Strong background in wireless network design, maintenance, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hardware/Platform Experience: Ubiquiti/UniFi Systems, Routers (e.g. Cradlepoint), and NetCloud Manager.
  • Network Tools: Experience with WiFi Survey tools (e.g., Ekahau), RADIUS, DNS, and MDM solutions.
  • Cellular Connectivity: Knowledge of LTE/5G RF technologies and LTE failover configurations.
  • Systems: Proficiency in Linux environments.
  • Certifications: PCNSA/PCNSE, CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent.
  • Agility: Previous experience thriving in a high-growth startup environment.
