Electrical Engineer

Core Responsibilities
  • Design new printed circuit boards and update existing PCB designs for cost, availability, and performance.
  • Create schematics, Gerber files, drill plans, silkscreens, bills of materials, and supporting engineering drawings.
  • Build, test, troubleshoot, and repair prototypes, PCB assemblies, fixtures, and manufacturing test equipment.
  • Prepare specifications, control plans, technical data sheets, test plans, reports, and APQP documentation.
  • Perform circuit analysis, simulation, testing, and corrective-action development.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, consultants, and test laboratories to complete projects and resolve technical issues.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of electronics design and testing experience.
  • Proven component-level troubleshooting of analog, digital, microprocessor, and power-supply circuits.
  • Experience with PCB rework, thru-hole and SMD components, and hands-on electrical-system troubleshooting.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.

Important Technical Skills
  • PCB schematic and layout software, CAD tools, and AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
  • DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and low- and high-voltage power supplies.
  • Circuit simulation, PCB prototyping, soldering, testing, and repair.
  • Microprocessor programming with a C compiler is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office and technical documentation.
