HIRING EXPERIENCED PARALEGAL WITH 5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Commercial Litigation

Job Requirements

  • Work experience as Paralegal to a group of litigation attorneys including Partner and senior-level lawyers
  • 5+ years experience as a Paralegal / Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary in Commercial Litigation
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with and ability to E-file in both State and Federal Court
  • Experience with Adobe Pro and MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently
  • Outstanding typing and organization skills
  • Capacity to compose routine correspondence and motions
  • Ability to expedite matters for Partner level attorney

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with organization of client materials and attorney work product
  • Perform administrative and clerical work, and facilitate and expedite discovery and court filings
  • Draft and prepare rudimentary documents (pleadings, complaints, motions, subpoenas, general correspondence)
  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence for attorneys
  • Maintain Group Calendar and individual calendars for attorneys within group, including hearings, docket deadlines and reminders
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation
  • Compile mediation, hearing and arbitration notebooks
  • Communicate with Court Clerks (County, District, and Federal) and have command of both state and federal electronic filing platforms
  • Maintain chronological records of case activity
  • Experience with document management software
  • Schedule court hearings, client appointments and depositions, including Court Reporting services
  • Capable of composing routine correspondence and motions
  • Notary Public (or willing to qualify as a notary)
  • Read and route incoming mail and maintain some hardcopy files
  • Maintain electronic firm files in Case management system
  • Assist in ensuring attorney time is completely input
  • Assist in making travel arrangements for Partner and attorneys
  • Prepare expense reports and process third-party invoices
  • Organize and bates label documents in Adobe Pro


Office hours 8:30am to 5:30pm - candidate will be working in office daily during normal business hours

Full-time position with benefits including medical insurance, 401(k) plan and paid parking

Salary commensurate with experience.
Must be able to work overtime when required.
