Job description

We are looking for a District Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and support all operations activity for the Northeast region. Working with the RVP of Operations, this position serves as a liaison with the Corporate office to communicate and enforce all company procedures and projects to improve and ensure compliance. This district will cover New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the procedural and administrative aspects of a district store group and perform specific and comprehensive analyses to reduce paper flow and maintain secure store processes.
  • Assist in management of district inventory tie-outs.
  • Review district capital expenditures and make recommendations to increase efficiency and services.
  • Review of monthly financial statements and assist in district payroll budget reviews per store in the assigned district.
  • Assess and participate in store acquisition projects.
  • Identify, implement and communicate operating system changes which enhance store operating efficiencies.
  • Enforce and follow all rules, policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance with State and Federal Law, DOT, FDA and OSHA Regulations.
  • Make recommendations on updates to store procedures manual to maintain and reflect current store operating systems as required by changes in operating policies, enhanced software, or to reduce paper-flow.
  • Oversee safety program for all associates in district in cooperation with the corporate office.
  • Review and assist in the corporate training program and schedule.
  • Mentor the district's store managers in their development of operational skills and efficiencies
  • Review of vehicle tracking, p-card approvals/limits, driver's alerts, and CAR forms.
  • Assist in investigations, pulling reports, cash deposits, credit cards, fuel usage, etc.
  • Review of time card entries/batch when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 4-6 years of previous management experience
  • Motivated, self-starting individual with good communication skills.
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel, Power Point, or equivalent.
  • Strong familiarity with PBE store operations and procedures
  • Must posses the ability to train/ teach others

  • The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
