Pay Rate: $24.00–$28.00 per hour (based on experience)Â
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)Â

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll & Human Resources Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting a variety of human resources functions. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.Â
Primary Responsibilities:Â
Payroll Administration
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Calculate employee wages, overtime, commissions, tax withholdings, garnishments, and other payroll deductions.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and earnings statements.
- Manage direct deposit processing and perform payroll audits.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Human Resources
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including payroll setup and employment documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and answer benefits-related questions.
- Monitor and audit electronic timekeeping systems to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Support HR policies, employee communications, and various HR initiatives.
- Assist with employee offboarding and related administrative tasks.
Administrative & Accounting Support
- Maintain the confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
- Prepare reports and documentation for management and the accounting department.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:Â
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing and/or human resources administration.
- Experience using payroll software; ADP experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
