Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing in compliance with government regulations as a Payroll Specialist
- Manage and oversee the processing of multiple weekly and bi-weekly Canadian payrolls, ensuring full compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements and contractual obligations
- Knowledge and an understanding of cross Canada, multi-provincial payroll legislation and taxation.
- Reconcile and remit 7 Unions Dues to the agencies
- Prepare Canadian Record of Employment (ROE) to CRA
- Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing while strictly adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations
- Assist on interpretation and data entry of garnishments
- Conduct thorough analysis of payroll issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and accuracy as a Payroll Specialist
- Coordinate with various company locations to obtain the information needed to process payroll.
- Oversee and manage salary adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and payroll accounting, including the processing of final checks for both voluntary and involuntary employee separations
- Other duties as assigned
