Job description

The Senior Payroll Accountant will process payroll for 200+ employees and report into the Payroll Manager.

ยท Administer end-to-end payroll processing for multi-entity and multi-state organizations across semi-monthly and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable payroll regulations.

ยท Prepare payroll reports and payroll-related general ledger journal entries for submission of Accounting to support accurate financial reporting and payroll expense allocations.

ยท Monthly review, reconciliation and authorization of payroll invoices including health benefits, 401(k) invoices and various other fringe benefit invoices.

ยท Ensure the processing of all employee actions, including new hires, promotions, and terminations is accurate and timely.

ยท Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

ยท Process regular files feeds with supporting vendors.

ยท Ensure business is up to date on all employee state tax regulations, filings and other federal, state or local compliance related reports as needed.

ยท Coordinate payroll processing activities with HR, and other department managers.

ยท Perform additional payroll accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and administrative duties as assigned.

ยท Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information with company data security standards.

Requirements:

ยท Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related field
