Senior Payroll Administrator

Brighton, CO (100% Onsite)
$80,000 – $90,000 + Comprehensive Benefits & 401(k) Match

Our client is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join their team in Brighton, CO. This is a highly visible role supporting payroll operations for approximately 1,300 employees across multiple companies and payroll cycles.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys being both technically strong and employee-facing. The company is looking for a payroll professional who can confidently manage complex payroll processing while also serving as a resource for employee questions, issue resolution, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities of Senior Payroll Administrator:

  • Process multi-state payroll for approximately 1,300 employees across multiple entities and payroll cycles
  • Manage payroll activities including commissions, bonuses, incentive compensation, and other complex earnings structures
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing in a high-volume environment
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll-related questions and issue resolution
  • Partner closely with Payroll leadership and HR to maintain payroll integrity and improve processes
  • Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and ongoing process improvement initiatives
  • Support both union and non-union payroll environments

Qualifications for Senior Payroll Administrator:

  • Strong recent payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing
  • Hands-on experience with strongly preferred
  • Experience processing commissions, bonuses, and incentive compensation
  • Strong communication and employee-facing customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Union payroll exposure is a plus, but not required
