About the role
Brite Nites is hiring a seasonal Payroll & HR Specialist to support our Finance and HR team from our Salt Lake City office. You'll make sure employees are paid on time, accurately, and in compliance with state and federal rules. This is a full-time hourly role running September 2026 through January 2027.
What you'll do
- Own the accuracy and timeliness of bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
- Review time cards; compute and reconcile wages, overtime, and other pay
- Maintain employee records in line with state and federal law
- Post, update, and reconcile payroll deductions (garnishments, tax levies, child support)
- Resolve payroll questions professionally and step in to help the senior accountant as needed
What you bring
- 1-3 years processing payroll
- Strong communication and organization; able to work to tight deadlines
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, HR, or a related field preferred, not required
Pay: $18-20/hr, DOE.
