Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Albany, Oregon for a permanent contract position. This on-site role will support payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring accurate and timely processing for both hourly and salaried staff. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll knowledge, works confidently with accounting systems, and can step into a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

โ€ข Process end-to-end payroll on a bi-weekly schedule for across multiple U.S. states, covering both exempt and non-exempt team members.

โ€ข Review payroll data for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure earnings, deductions, taxes, and withholdings are handled correctly.

โ€ข Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in compliance with company procedures and applicable payroll regulations.

โ€ข Collaborate with internal partners to address payroll questions, research issues, and provide timely resolutions to employees and management.

โ€ข Enter and reconcile payroll-related journal entries within the accounting system
