About the Role

Surge Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for processing payroll for temporary employees, maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with garnishment and support orders, and providing exceptional support to our branch teams.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing

  • Receive payroll information through timesheets, timeclocks, electronic systems, and other customer-approved documentation.
  • Accurately enter payroll data, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments.
  • Verify the accuracy of submitted time and payroll information.
  • Process direct deposit enrollments and updates.

Compliance & Payroll Administration

  • Review, process, and enter child support and medical support orders.
  • Review, process, and administer wage garnishments and tax levies.
  • Maintain payroll records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify and validate payroll-related information and documentation.

Customer Support & Problem Resolution

  • Provide payroll support and customer service to branch offices regarding payroll-related questions and concerns.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, system issues, and employee concerns.

Team Support
