Job description

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join a construction-focused organization in Columbus, Ohio. This position supports accurate and timely payroll operations for a workforce that includes union employees across multiple states. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of payroll tax rules, employee onboarding documentation, timekeeping review, and payroll reporting while maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Process end-to-end payroll for employees in multiple states, ensuring wages are calculated correctly and issued on schedule.
• Administer union payroll activities, including review of applicable pay rules, deductions, and related compliance requirements.
• Review and validate timesheets and attendance records to support accurate payroll processing.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax information, verifying withholdings and supporting compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Complete and maintain new employee payroll documentation, ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
• Generate payroll reports and assist with reconciliations, audits, and internal recordkeeping needs.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by researching issues related to earnings, deductions, taxes, and time entries.
• Maintain payroll data within ADP Workforce Now and support efficient day-to-day payroll administration.• Experience managing full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing.
• Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices and payroll tax requirements.
• Background supporting payroll for employee populations ranging from approximately 101 to 500 workers.
• Hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now for payroll administration.
• Familiarity with union payroll processes and related pay or deduction considerations.
• Understanding of tax withholdings, reporting requirements, and payroll record accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
