Job description

We are hiring a receptionist to join our dynamic care team at Civita Care Meadowbrook!

This is a Per Diem role for 16-20 hours per week. Shifts 7a-3p & 3p-7p.

As our receptionist, you perform clerical support in an efficient manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor.

Experience & Education:

  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a clerical position or successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college, is preferred.

  • Must have a working knowledge of filing and respect for confidentiality.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate telephone switchboard.

  • Utilize proper phone etiquette.

  • Receive and direct all persons entering the facility to appropriate areas.

  • Responsible for general typing and secretarial functions.

  • Distribute paychecks per policy and procedure.

  • Is responsible to receive and direct incoming mail and deliveries appropriately.

  • Demonstrate correct safety techniques.

  • Respect and take care of facility equipment and not wasteful of supplies.

  • Contribute to and promote resident and family relations.

  • Knowledgeable in facility’s Privacy Practice and complies by protecting all residents’ health information.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Specific Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations.

  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.

  • Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures and guidelines.

  • Must possess a cheerful personality and be ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.

  • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Has knowledge of personnel application procedures.

  • Must be able to type 50 words per minute.

  • Is knowledgeable of all office equipment.
