Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Services Coordinator to join this Greensboro team. This position plays a vital role in supporting patients by verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, coordinating documentation, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience.

Essential Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance benefits and demographic information.
- Obtain and track insurance authorizations.
- Collect required documentation and medical records from physician offices.
- Monitor authorization approvals and communicate status updates.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions regarding services and accounts.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Communicate with patients, physicians' offices, and insurance providers to ensure timely processing.
- Collect co-insurance payments when applicable.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Assist with administrative and office support functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, patient services, insurance verification, medical billing, referrals, authorizations, or a related role preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
