The Patient Services Representative at Crescent Community Health Center is responsible for providing exceptional service to patients by managing their appointments, answering inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of operations within the healthcare facility. This role is crucial in maintaining patient satisfaction and supporting the healthcare team's efforts in delivering quality care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently, coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize clinic operations.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations and policies.
  • Assist patients with the registration process, verifying insurance information, and updating personal details as necessary.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Education - An associate degree or certification in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient services or customer service roles.

Preferred Experience: Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable. Previous experience in a community health center or similar environment is advantageous.
