Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a reliable and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee our dietary department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, proven supervisory experience, and knowledge of infection control practices to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and train dietary staff to provide high-quality food service.
Prepare and maintain employee work schedules.
Monitor attendance, professionalism, and proper appearance of staff.
Oversee food distribution, ensuring proper portion sizes and tray presentation.
Ensure timely meal delivery and pick-up for residents.
Maintain food quality, including correct temperatures and appealing presentation.
Assist with food preparation and service when necessary.
Visit resident areas weekly to evaluate satisfaction and service standards.
Enforce infection control and sanitation procedures in all food service areas.
Oversee the safe use and maintenance of kitchen equipment; report issues promptly.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a 90-hour course in food, nutrition, and personnel management in food service (or equivalent).
1โ2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
Knowledge of infection control standards and safe food handling practices.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
