Job description

Direct your strong business office and relationship building skills into the fun, fast-moving world of children’s dentistry!

Enjoy your 4 - 4 1⁄2 day workweek, evenings and weekends OFF, and frequent long weekends!

From the outside, Children’s Dentistry of West Georgia may look like an ordinary office. However, enter through the door... and discover “Disney at the Dentist,” as Dr. Patterson (aka: The Sugar Bug Sheriff) and her staff (the merry band of Decay Deputies) rustle up their mission to deliver 5-star services to parents and children.

The Children’s Dentistry of West Georgia team of highly skilled dental professionals are seeking another dynamic team member to add their smile and expertise to their group and train into the role of Patient Care Coordinator (PCC).

After training, what does a Patient Care Coordinator do? Our Patient Care Coordinators are artful with their tandem teamwork as they industriously manage our busy phones, provide a red-carpet welcome for patients, collaborate on practice marketing projects, provide patient instructions, schedule appointments, register new patients, provide receipts for payment, and process patient check out and check in.  The career as a Patient Care Coordinator offers a fast-paced day that never drags, is fun, has financial reward, offers positive challenges and coworker-friends, with a never-ending opportunity to learn.

Who is welcome to apply? Candidates without industry experience are also welcome to apply! We appreciate medical or prior healthcare training while being keenly aware that a candidate with the right background could be the perfect team member once they assimilate our business brand, technology, software, terminology, and methods.

Could this be the career you are seeking? Are you seeking work that offers a positive, mental challenge?  How about a career that appreciates your velvety verbal skills, allows you to provide warm hospitality and conversation with children and adults, keeps you busy all the time, utilizes the coolest technology, manages meticulous details, and works in a team-based setting?  Did you just say “YES!” out loud?  Then, let us tell you more!

Experience, skills, and qualities that we value include:

  1. Experience in customer service.
  2. Positive outlook: optimism and can-do attitude.
  3. Desire to work full-time Monday - Thursday and every other Friday (half day): no evenings, no weekend!
  4. Excellent speaking and writing skills to credibly represent the practice and accurately document records.
  5. Stable work history.
  6. A natural inclination to manage “the details in the details” while multi-tasking.
  7. Preference to “always be busy” while working in reasonable proximity with other administrative team members also engaging in face-to-face customer interactions
  8. Excellent past employment references.
  9. Comfortable discussing costs of the next visit and requesting payment.
  10. Education:  If you do not hold a bachelor’s degree, your prior work experience may equate. Degrees or studies in English, Communications, Human Resource Management, and Business Administration apply excellently to this multi-faceted, task and people-skilled role.
