Job description

Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Def Indust Base Facilities and the Maj Range and Test Facilities Base. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.

  • You will determine and ensure the proper stocking levels of Hazardous Material for the sealant mixing and dispensing operations.
  • You will ensure compliance with receipting, storing and issuing of hazardous materials.
  • You will be responsible for certification of mixing, storing and issuing of pre-mixed frozen sealants.
  • You will identify supplies by use knowledge of supplies received, stock catalogs, manufacturer's lists, and parts lists.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including: Ensuring the proper stocking levels of hazardous materials for mixing and dispensing operations; mixing, freezing, storing, dispensing, labeling and delivering adhesives, sealants, solvents, lubricants and various other chemicals, in accordance with prescribed regulations; dispensing products from larger containers into appropriate sizes; mixing products using special equipment; ensuring all transactions are input in various data management systems; operating mixing, freezing and cleaning equipment; reading and preparing shipping documents; using Safety Data Sheets to document hazardous material; receiving, palletizing, inventorying and checking supplies; using knowledge of hazardous material management and storage in a warehouse setting; using hand tools, hand trucks and mechanized equipment.
