Full Job Description
We are an Independent Dealership with locations in Marietta and Kennesaw. Our successful dealership is looking for an Experienced Automotive Parts Advisor to join our team. A premier luxury brand in the Atlanta area is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor selling parts to customers over the counter, through the shop, on the phone, and/or online. This is a unique opportunity for someone with little experience, or those that are experienced and seeking advancement. We have new direction and support that's looking to the future. It's time to turn your job into a career and achieve what's yours! The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record of delivering exceptional organizational skills. 

For this role, you'll need:

  • Parts experienced preferred, 2-3 years 

  • High School degree or equivalent

  • Strong communication skills to explain parts information to customers and associates

  • Knowledgeable about automotive OEM parts

  • Experience with Dealertrack, VAuto, Rapid Recon preferred

  • Ability to lift 50 - 70lbs

  • Availability to work on Saturdays

  • Must have a valid driver license

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background)

In this role, you'll:

  • Provide comprehensive assistance to walk-in customers by guiding them in the selection of necessary components, recommending complementary items, presenting promotional offers, and ensuring thorough exposure to the complete product range. This approach aims to enhance customer satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities.

  • Retrieve purchased components from inventory.

  • In the event that the part is unavailable in stock, assess its availability and, if requested by the customer or technician, initiate an emergency order.

  • Respond to incoming telephone inquiries, offering accurate price quotations and relevant information as requested

  • Provide support to external sales representatives with order processing and management

  • Arrange orders for daily shipment, delivery, or collection

  • Conduct weekly verification of WILL CALL and BACKORDER files, and return to vendors or restock items that are no longer required.

  • Conduct telephone solicitation of designated accounts.

  • Provide support to Service Technicians in the selection of components required for ongoing repair procedures

  • Inform the service desk and the customer that the ordered parts have been received.

  • It is imperative that technicians present a repair order prior to charging out parts. This procedure ensures proper documentation and accountability in the repair process.

  • Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean, near and clearly labeled

  • Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with customers and co-workers

  • Provide the same high level of service to the other dealership departments, as is given to other customers

  • Issue credit slips for returned parts, ensuring the original invoice or its corresponding number is available for purchase and pricing verification. Any exceptions require approval from the Parts Manager or Office Manager.

  • Inform the Parts Manager when areas of the department do not meet satisfactory standards

  • Keep current on new products and product updates

  • Participate in available training programs
