Job description

Our Best Buy for Business (BBFB) Agent is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting and kitting products for multiple vendors based off client need at Geek Squad City (GSC). As the BBFB agent, you will be required to perform multiple roles within the department on a daily basis and will need to be able to function within a changing environment. Be part of a team that puts people before all else and accounts for what comes next.
Key responsibilities:
  • Enters and follows software prompts/commands to install and configure consumer electronic devices based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Client/Vendor needs
  • Ensures all needed components are included in each order following kit checklists as appropriate
  • Troubleshoots product based off Client needs, installs new parts and disassembles as necessary
  • Installs and configures new operating systems using proprietary software based off client needs
  • Uses proprietary systems to follow prompts and commands to install operating systems based off Client needs
  • Kits, packs and ships finished goods to clients based on vendor needs
  • Validates and quality checks products and finished goods as necessary
  • Troubleshoots and repairs damaged products that are returned from Clients/Vendors
Basic Qualifications:
  • 6 months of experience in consumer electronic troubleshooting
  • 6 months of experience working with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to function effectively in a quickly changing environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift/push/twist up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a logistics or similar environment
  • 6 months of experience with Best Buy's proprietary systems or other related systems
  • 6 months of experience with Business Networking Systems and Networking Fundamentals
