The Spare Parts Associate organizes and maintains the inventory of spare parts for the site. This role assists with submitting orders to replenish inventory, enters new inventory within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and prepares parts for work execution.

Job Description

What You'll Do

Organizes inventory of spare parts and equipment used in the manufacturing and maintenance of pharmaceutical products Sets up new inventory within the CMMS and generates reports, as needed Maintains accurate records of inventory levels, motor rotations, stockouts, obsoletion, total inventory counts, transactions, and costs using an inventory management software or other relevant systems Assists with submitting parts orders to replenish inventory, as needed Assists with performing receipt inspection and stocking of maintenance spare parts Issues and receives inventory items from CMMS and documents any changes Assists with preparing kits in advance of spare parts and tools for maintenance activities Coordinates with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and equipment, as directed Responds to order placement, customer phone inquiries regarding pricing and availability, equipment warranty status, parts tracking, and proof of deliveries Operates an industrial forklift to pick up, move, place, and position materials Collaborates with other departments (e.g., production, maintenance, and engineering) to assess spare parts needs and requirements Performs other duties, as assigned 

Knowledge & Skills

Effective communication, both written and oral Ability to work in a teamwork environment Problem-solving and time management skills Detail-oriented and proficient with planning software, such as EAM or other CMMS Ability to adapt to new processes, technologies, inventory changes and demands Good customer service skills Ability to use a hoist or crane, and power tools

Required Skills

High School Diploma/GED with 1-2 years of warehouse, inventory management, or supply chain experience Experience with Microsoft Office or other computer software programs

Preferred Skills and Certification

  Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Previous experience in a Life Science regulated field
