Partnership Solutions Director
General Description:
The Partnership Solutions Director is responsible for developing innovative partnership strategies, revenue-generating platforms, and compelling sales narratives that drive growth across the Houston Rockets, Houston Comets, and Clutch City Sports amp; Entertainment portfolio. Serving as a strategic partner to Partnership Sales, Partnership Marketing, Creative, Business Intelligence, and Operations teams, this role leads the development of marketable sponsorship opportunities, integrated partner programs, and sales enablement materials while overseeing partnership concepts from ideation through execution. Leveraging storytelling, research, creative design, and data-driven insights, the Director identifies new revenue opportunities, supports strategic initiatives, and creates impactful partnership solutions that strengthen partner relationships, enhance fan engagement, and advances organizational business objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop and lead innovative partnership platforms, sponsorship programs, and integrated marketing concepts that drive revenue growth and enhance partner value across all Clutch City Sports amp; Entertainment properties.
  • Collaborate with Partnership Sales to create customized solutions, strategic proposals, pitch materials, and go-to-market strategies that support new business acquisition, renewals, and upsell opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary storyteller for partnership initiatives, crafting compelling narratives and presentations that connect partner objectives with organizational assets, fan engagement opportunities, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Partnership Marketing, Creative, Business Intelligence, Communications, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to design and execute best-in-class partnership programs and lead “Deal Teams.”
  • Lead the development of sales resources, including presentations, proposal overviews, case studies, playbooks, valuation materials, and a centralized library of partnership assets and creative resources.
  • Oversee the creation of partnership recap presentations, utilizing performance data, research, photography, and visual storytelling to effectively communicate partner ROI and campaign success.
  • Directly oversee and manage Corporate Department creative needs, including managing responsibilities for Corporate Creative Design Manager.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Creative team to ensure consistent brand standards, access to approved creative assets, and high-quality design execution across all partnership materials.
  • Identify, evaluate, and commercialize new sponsorship inventory, venue assets, events, experiences, media opportunities, and strategic initiatives that create incremental revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct market research, trend analysis, competitive benchmarking, and partnership valuation assessments to inform strategic recommendations and support organizational decision-making.
  • Lead and support enterprise-wide partnership projects, coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring successful integration of sponsorship opportunities into key organizational initiatives and events.
  • Monitor partnership performance metrics and leverage data, analytics, and industry insights to optimize programs, improve partner outcomes, and inform future strategy.
  • Foster strong relationships across the organization and within the sports and entertainment industry to drive collaboration, innovation, and best-practice sharing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in corporate partnerships, sponsorship strategy, agency marketing, partnership marketing, sports marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing partnership concepts, sales presentations, sponsorship platforms, and integrated marketing programs.
  • Strong storytelling, presentation, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling partnership solutions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, creative, analytics, and operations teams.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred.
  • Knowledge of sponsorship measurement, partnership valuation, and sports and entertainment industry trends preferred.
