As a Product Manager, you will lead the creation of innovative products that transform the car buying and selling experience. Your work will put Customer needs at the center of every decision, leveraging technology and data to deliver solutions that make their interactions with CarMax seamless and personalized. You’ll collaborate with design and engineering partners to build products that empower our Customers and Associates. Team Overview

You’ll lead a high-performing product team focused on discovering and delivering solutions that ultimately enhance the customer journey and drive measurable business value. Working cross-functionally, you’ll partner with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to create experiences that scale across digital and in-store channels.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep customer research to uncover Customer behaviors, pain points, and opportunities
  • Develop and test hypotheses, rapidly iterating on prototypes to validate solutions
  • Prioritize product opportunities based on feasibility, impact, and alignment with business goals
  • Set clear product vision and goals using data-driven insights and strong business acumen
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation
  • Inspire and lead teams to create seamless experiences across online and in-store channels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of modern technology and experience, partnering with software engineers

The annual salary for this position is:

$117,300.00 - $187,700.00

May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Benefits:

Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.

Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:

  • To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company. 
  • For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday.  If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay. 

Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.
